The following was originally posted on the old version of this site, dated November 2023.

It was indeed my calculated decision to leave the company, take a small holiday sabbatical, and begin re-applying for jobs in the game industry come January. While I did not agree with many aspects of the company and its culture, I can’t feel anything but gratitude for the good times and enriching experiences afforded to me by Kooapps. I will miss working closely with all the dev teams in particular, solving myriads of interesting tech problems most of all. Bless you all!

I am quite aware of the current layoff situation facing our industry. I had been reading articles on this subject every day, heard from several friends working at AAA companies about their related struggles, and I still decided this was the best move for me.
